Hello, i'm thinking of buying a 1996 Jeep Cherokee, has done 225000k's and is lpg converted ,asking price is $5900, are there any known probs I should look for ,cheers Kev.

Just check for normal oil leaks, make sure gearbox shifts smooth, check underneath for any obvious 4wding damage too see if its had a hard life, only real problem i have found is the overheat when laboured, so make sure temp stays down as much as possible, not many real problems i know of

rear main seal is prone to leaks

The exhaust headers are likely to be cracked also worth checking

and check the passenger side engine mount. They go brittle due to the heat from the headers and crack. They're cheap and easy to fix if you catch them in time.
