Why is it that Hiclone is able to advertise in prime time on TV? Does the gadget actually work?

Did 443kms up to Coffs using 40L.
Which is around 9L/100km.

This on a 2.8L CRD with ARB bar, 2.5" lift and H/T looking A/T tyres. Travelling around 100km/hr which is around 2,000rpm.
With bigger tyres it should sit even lower than 2,000rpm @ 100km/hr

Just worked out my milage for my trip last weekend. Total 1023 Kilometers travelled, includes trip down, two days of 4 wheeling and trip home, all on 245/75/16 Cooper STT Muddies, 3inches of lift and a roof rack. 150 litres petrol used, average is around 15lts per 100km. I'm fairly happy with that result.

Bought my CRD late May this year. Towed my 17 foot caravan when it had only 500ks on the clock at averaged 14.5 ltrs/100km.

Just calculated my commuting fuel economy (60km round trip Melbourne freeways) at a smidge over 10 ltrs/100km.
