Had a blinder 1st lap (red track) setting the 2nd quickest time for our team YAY ! (even beat our 64 year old !)
Felt really good after it too...then had a double lap just on dusk. 1st lap (blue) went good but by the time the red lap (2nd) was almost done I was rooted.
Got to the 4x berms near the bottom and like a true n00b gumby butthead had front wheel washout 200m fron the finish...took off a bunch of skin and goat fur from RHS. Cruised to the finish to St John, got pacthed up still not too bad. Bike was ok...
Got back to camp and went to sit down and realied my lower back was farged ! Went for a lie in the tent to see if I just needed a stretch and couldnt manage to roll over. Wimpering like a big blouse I withdrew until further notice and the other 3 lads (inlcluding said 64 year old pensioner exocet) continued without me.. We were placing well too in the 40+ male 4 teams...
Oh well first DNF in 6 24's..spose I shouldn't bitch too much
Got a massage the next morning which helped but not much.
Then two days later was at Eastern ck doing 10 almost-luke warm laps in a stinky holden and a ford v8 as a birthday prez from mrs goat... HORZUM !
Pigface is about to get MTB'd (he sold the TJ !) and is gonna drag my sorry ass along for a urban polaris wherever it's at in Dec...
