9.73L/100Km (mixed driving...all city with some city highway driving)

I have been "hypermiling" and getting great mileage from doing so...

I get 11L/100km on freeway/highway driving average and 12-13L when cruising around town. I just had my 80K service not long ago at Jeep.

Mine is a 2003 2.8 CRD. Do those numbers sound right? I know my usage calculations are good unless the deisel pump is not telling the truth.

I run an '05 CRD with 90k on the clock. I get about 10.5l/100 with about 50/50 city/freeway driving. Just city driving sees it rise to about 11.5l/100. On a straight country run I'll get down to about 9l/100. I run my tyres (245/70 Wrangler ATRs) at 34psi (when cold) and have a 2" lift and roof bars fitted.

My '07' CRD, which has less than 3000k's on it, delivered 11.5L/100km on our trip to the snow (when it only had 100k's on the dial). We had a Thule pod on the roof full of skis gear. I didn't check the tyre pressure until recently when I found it was carrying almost 40psi all around - seems the dealer stuff that up when they did delivery (or maybe they ship that way - anyone know?). I'm not complaining through I recon that the mileage will improve with breakin -whenever that it is.

Its funny but my consumption / economy has pretty much been the same from the day I bought it. Even after I fitted the roof bars, got the lift and went for more aggressive tyres, I didn't notice any real change in the fuel consumption. I love it!
