Yes Alex it has been a month, but take out 2 weeks for xmas and new years and I am waiting on one more deposit.

At this stage we have nearly $300. I miscalculated earlier.

I have spoken to Ben and he thinks it was a good idea to wait.

Jimmy any news on the calender idea?

What I am asking now is are there anymore thoughts on what to give the family?

If anyone else would like to donate, can they please let me know? I will be finalising the monies as of the Friday the 11th of January.

Thanks to everyone for there patience and support.

Wen

Thanks heaps for all your contributions. I am just waiting on one confirmation, of deposit to the account.

Our total is including the above confirmation is $440.

Now, I seriously need thoughts/ ideas from those that have contributed as to how we would like to send this money to the family.

You can email me at wendaloo@optusnet.com.au

I can organise gift cards, eg myers, target, or maybe dreamworld and movie world passes etc if you think that is appropriate.

I got a message from Ben, and he thinks that the Movieworld passes are a good idea. Melinda and the girls are coming up to Brisbane this year.

So what if we get them 2 adult passes and 2 children passes to Movie World and then maybe tickets to see the Australian Outback Spectacular, as well. http://outbackspectacular.myfun.com.au/

I have seen this show and it is great, for the kids and all. They do a special chicken chasing thing and get kids from the audience to chase chickens. We might be able to get them to call the girls down to participate in the chicken race?

What do you think?

So sorry for being late replying, have been trying to figure out the best way to do this.

We can put all our money into a gift card that will let the family into any of the theme parks, including the outback spectacular, so that means they would have a card valid for the amount of $550 to visit any theme park, to spend on food, drinks, rides, pictures.

To book the Outback Spectacular we need a certain date for them. Thank you Alex for your offer to talk to the organisers of the show. This is still an idea, that can be followed up on, once Melinda has booked the tickets, who knows maybe some of us could join them on their fun adventure.

The other thing I need from you is a message to put in a card. Please say what you want, I will print these out and include them with the tickets. If you or your families would rather pen something personal, please email me for my address.

Once again, I know it is getting on, and I would like to have this all finalised by 31/01/2008.

Thanks everyone for your help

Wen
