Default Transfer case gaurd repair

Hi Jeepers

Looking for some ideas or info on repairing my tranfer case gaurd that I managed to dislodge by pulling the nutsets lose that bolt it on to the chasis. Any ideas on how to get it back on without welding a plate or if there is any one on the northside that would be capable of reinserting the nutsets. (holes they came out of our a little bit bigger now). Thanks in advance and to the moserators thanks for a great site.

Yeah. Get rid of the x-member and fit one of these.

Wooders has them and they are great.

I was sick and tired of every time I was off road, the damage to the stock x-member was that I needed to replace it. Ever small damage would change the drive line angle.

This unit I got thur Wooders is very strong. I was surprised at the strength and its a easy bolt on mod. The rear plate completely protects the transcase, even has a cut away section for the lube change.

Thanks Dave, I know what you mean had to weld a nut or two in as temp repair and gaurd ended up working like a plough. Made it unusable on the hard trails at the 4WD corroborree, could not show all those **nkers is Nisotas what a real jeep can do. I will be ordering a new one from Wooders shortly. How did it effect your driveline anlge after liftin transfer case?

I just purchased one of these, not just bolt on, however, it is just a bit of drilling and then bolt on and is only marginally more expensive than the JKS unit but covers even more comes a few inches forward of stock and has a ramped up leading edge to help prevent the plough effect

Also through Wooders, I live at Ferny Hills in Brisbane so if you are interested i will be able to show you
