Default XJ: Custom all in one rock rail, tube fender and front bumper buildup.

As some of you may already know from other threads, i'm taking apart my XJ once again.

It all started when I needed to make rock rails to stop the damage I was doing to my door sills. Then I began taking the fender flares off and the rest is history.

Coming off:

Warn 9.5XP winch: too slow

Front custom bumper I made earlier, is good but heavy and not enuf clearance for my 36" swampers

My custom metal fender flares: it's gonna get damaged if it aint comin off

Doors will come off during extreme rock crawling trips

Coming on:

Rock rails : 6mm plate wrapped around side and behind the welded strip on the body. 1" tubing 5.5mm wall thickness - starts as a rock rail, then turns into tube fenders and then as a front bumper. See pics and you'll get what I mean. Tubing protects the lights, grill etc.

New warn 9.0Rc winch with synthetic line.

Will also integrate some spotties into the front bumper - for the sake of clearance the bumper will sit up high and quite short in width.

Custom long arm: from chromoly tubing with 1" size heims.

New thicker front bash plate

PSC hydraulic steering - full hyro (i'm sick of bump steer and groaning steering boxes)

Rear glass window be replaced with acrylic ones ( l learnt that one from a roll over on my ZJ)

Going with 35" BFG Krawlers on black rock crawler wheels soon too with Staun internal beadlocks.

God knows what else...

You got a good eye dude. Yup that's my 404 Mog, it's a shame to rip it apart just for the axles. But wait, I got a pair of spare axles in the shed. Nah, i'll stick to the original xj axles for now till they blow up.

Unfortunately it's in Bali. I don't have any plans to sell it, I'm sure Rodger would ask the same about the fender flares too.

Sorry dude.
