I still can't get my head around my 98's problem
The engine light is on, but when i test for errors it'll only flash through 0-9 then stop.
Am i missing something... Do the speedo etc. represent something?

On a TJ the code is displayed in the odometer at the same time. A code 32 will flash the number 32 and the check engine light. Three flashes followed by a short pause then two flashes. There is a longer pause between individual codes. 55 is end of codes on 97 and older models.

The on-off key method doesn't work on 98-99 models TJs and on some 2000 models.

On a YJ (and older Cherokees and Grands) the dash is different and just the check engine light flashes. Codes are the same as for 97 TJs.

Pressing the odomter reset button, turning the key to the on position, then releasing the odometer button starts the actuator test which moves gauges and lights dash controlled lamps in a sequence that tests for function.

http://www.allpar.com/fix/computer-codes.html (for 05 models) to be:

P0335 CKP Sensor A Circuit Performance

Can anyone tell me what exactly this means?
Crank Position sensor is not always being picked up by the computer. Likely to be on it's way out. Check the wiring though and make sure the connectors have no signs of corrosion.

Here's a link to an absolute ton of Jeep Bookmarks ~ Enjoy.

The Dana 60 front picture is quite interesting - http://www.billhughes.com/jeep_bookmark.htm

Some of the links are inactive but most are good still.
