again, thanks rob, neil & dave, the 3 main fellas that put it all togethor, for steve dragging the ramp around and the other sponsors of the event (other than us (USA4x4) , various clubbies that went south west for the reccies and the rest of the clubbies that helped on the weekend. the camp grounds were fantastic too bad about the pouring rain, it litterally dampend the camp fires rite out.
the trails sure were entertaing here and there, our sunday A grade was about to be called off due to the pouring rain on the steep slimy tip hills when the killer hills took out both red TJ's, the worst being relieved of two un bead locked bias ply claws and a front pass axle ( on the would be chicken track!).
great to see so many new faces there, bummer to not to see so many old faces there though, i know a lot of older jeepers that would have had a ball there.
as for that massive XJ from NSW, had you officially registered for the weekend you would have won the LWB (and over all!) ramp but we couldnt find that you had. i was not aware you hadnt paid so we let you up, next time we will check every car that runs as unregisted punters are not covered by our public liability. correct me if i'm wrong but we couldnt find that rig on the data base when we were dishing out the trophies. you also need to do somethign about your front springs, they fall out at full droop.
I seem to remember another XJ sneaking into the 04 jambo that would have won the show'n shine too but hadnt paid.....
so please, if you want to attend an official club gig do the rite thing or you put the club at risk to save your self a few measly bucks for a non profit voulinteer run organisation.
