i wouldn't be too worried. the bonnet is secured in 3 places - 2x externally on the sides AND 1x internally at the centre.

most cars are only secured internally at the centre only.

it might move about, but it wont fly off unless all 3 points break at once.

I have the S/Steel Front Catches and the rubber IS firmer than Standard ones but i cant say if ive noticed any difference? The Hood maybe flapping less or i may have just gotten used to it but i haven't noticed it flapping for ages.
What about the Centre Locks available from Mopar or Rugged Ridge, they may work to secure it down at the centre which i think is whats needed.
The AEV Hood might not have these probs either because of the vents it has and its not a flat sheet of meal like the std Bonnet. [anyone out there with an AEV Hood to add to this thread]

people in the US with the same problem resolve this by removing the spring next to the center hook or change to Daystar latch.

Apparently the 09 model Jeeps are meant to have a stiffer rubber latch than the 06 to 08 models apparently this is meant to solve the issue.

Mine does the same, when I was last at the Jeep dealer they informed me they needed to change the rubber latches to a new type but they had none in stock. These were to be fitted free of charge so I assume it was a recall thing maybe ?

I was meant to go back to have these fitted but haven't had the time yet. I must do this......

Maybe the new latches may reduce this flapping
