reading this tread maybe i have hit on an answer to something that puzzels me - why my mileage is lower that lots quote.

I have a 2007 CRD auto and get around 13.5l/100km and yes my commutes are only 16k long with heaps of steep hills so that will push it up some.

But am i right in assuming that if i have 4.1 diff it will be better off road but less economical on fuel over all ?

My mileage has been approx. 0.5L/100 LOWER than the 9.9L shown on the windscreen sticker when I bought mine from the Dealer. Do you remember what mileage was shown on your sticker?

If it's empty and you're in it alone, and the tyres are at normal pressure, then I'd say you're having issues.

My car is a 2008 SWB diesel manual and I get 9.2-9.5 city driving and 8.7 on the highway.

cheers Steve -- it's bugged me for ages how people in flatter states claim to get so much better mileage - i don't resent it though I just wondered if it was normal, now I know someone else got similar around Tas i feel better. The hills here sure are very very long.

You really must stop in next time you come down here.

Cheers - JB

Will be looking at 2008 Auto CDI Unlimited colour Red Rock,
How many JK's with Diesels have been having Engine light come on due to electricals/sensers Etc.
Test drove a 2007 V6 Auto Unlimited at a car yard and the Engine light was on salesman stated it would be fixed before delivery after sale. Did not efect the driving of the vehicle.
Think it would be fixed before placing in yard with safty certificate.
Accturally on a positive note how many JK are not having any electrical problems etc.
