No.But I have worked in a MB service centre where we see many MB come in on the back of a truck with major mechanical failures. Some of which we have had to communicate with Germany to find a solution, which did not always fix the car in the end. This I find very sad as Mercs always used to have impeccible engineering but for one reason or another (possibley mass production issues) their standards on quality control have slipped.

You spend alot of money buying these cars because they are supposed to be great and then they let you down.

hahaha Are you on crack Jeepchik? I thought all north qld'ers were just on Beer. There are a few locals i know that hide their green stuff amongst the banana's but crack...hmmm.... nope.
The hummer is a no go cause i'm sick of being stuffed around, sooo.... will make a visit to cairns soon and have a look at the x5 again. I only prefer the look of the x5 over the merc but still yet to drive a merc.
I have always like the chrysler 300c and seems like they have a deal on them at the moment going by the add on tv. BUT - living up here where there seems to be so much rain, driving with my bum on the ground doesnt really do it for me i dont believe. I do know there were a few ppl on here that went out and bought them. City drivers - Lucky!

i hope it wasnt on on a c class or up? the latest c class got a 15 million mile test before it went into production, every single part engineered to the highest quality, even the door hinges are rated to take 100kg . I defintely would not say mercedes has slipped in quality control, if anything it has become much better.

however if you are talking A class i could understand.

Mercedes has been going downhill for nearly ten years - do a Google on Mercedes reliabilty and you will see they have been slated by the yanks even as being shite in the reliability stakes....

What's the world coming to when the hun are cutting corners....

This thread would have been more interesting if it was about Jeepchick talking about giving hummers
