An easy way to disable the traction control and ESP is to pull out the ABS fuse. I do this all the time when going serious off roading at 4x4 parks on extreme hill climbs or extremely slippery conditions. It doesn't hurt the car or cause any issues, it actually makes the car safer and stops brake peddle fade and collapse.
The "Service 4WD System" only started after he had the N23 reflash. Never had a problem before and after serveral reprograms FC replaced the actuator just before the Simpson trip so don't think it's a wheel sensor...Rightly so about the ABS fuse which I told him about and the FDCM fuse but by this time he was so p'd off so couldn't talk Jeeps to him..He actually headed home a day earlier than us.

I've had my "Service 4wd System" warning come on heaps of times. Always due to the Wheel speed sensor. It can be very common with many brands of modern 4x4's once dirt or water gets into the system. In the old days the system could shit itself and you'd be none the wiser because there was no computer detection system.
Jeep Australia wanted to replace my actuator too after the N23 reflash and I determined it was a front WSS and changed it myself for no cost as I had a spare. 20 minutes later all was OK.

Default N23 Recall problems

Well, two weeks after Fiat Chrysler accepted the Warranty Claim and I had the new Final Drive Control Module fitted, I STILL have low range 4x4! The longest time yet since N23! Still keeping my fingers crossed but getting more hopeful each day.

Still haven't heard if Captured 1, who had the same fix a while back, is doing.

Default Still going strong

Sorry haven't updated in a while, but the good news is I still have 4lo !

Anyone still having issues getting a new actuator fitted should just keep harassing FC , they will give in eventually as they know it is not going to go away by itself and they know its their stuff up.

Cheers and good luck

Just over a month since the FDCM was fitted and I STILL have low range! Shouldn't tempt fate but I'm really hopeful this time. Glad to hear Captured1 is still going strong too.

Default N23 Recall problems

Going on for two and a half months now and I still have low 4x4! Beginning to be quite optimistic! It was well worth the chasing up to get Fiat Chrysler to accept that it was their responsibility, even if it did take a long time.
