Finished the detail today and drove it up the street service 4wd system came on again

Spoke to CRDSTU he said it could be my ABS sensors or the solenoid/actuator that drives the 4wd low system
I did some pricing on the solenoid/motor Factory Mopar Parts has them for $335US but Rockauto has reconditioned ones for $180US has anyone tried the reconditioned part from Rockauto

I replaced all the abs sensors 2 months ago so am leaning towards the low 4 actuator solenoid/motor has anyone replaced this item yet and if so how much did it cost for the part here in Australia
STU had done his actuator and how he described it sounds similar to my problem

I am trying to book into the dealership to get a code read as my scanner does not read the BCM part of the car and there are no codes showing up on my scanner

I brought the transfer case motor from Rock Auto reconditioned for $180.00 from memory.
Works fine that was nearly 12 months ago.
Easy to install 4 flange bolts and plug in the electrics.

I was getting the code C140A that enabled me to test the transfer case motor and was getting help from a USA Jeep mechanic see:
http://www.justanswer.com/jeep/6v6jc...-cherokee.html
I thought for $70.00 it was good value to help sort all the codes out I had but he was not right all the time.

Things got better and easier after returning two scanners and got the Autoenginuity scanner with chrysler enhancment.

Thanks for that hotqld
Looks like I am going to have to get an update for my scanner this is the second time its had problems with no codes
I spoke to a guy that does all the European stuff and he is coming next Monday to do a scan on the car
He told me that the disc inside the motor gets dirty or worn out and causes problems and is so thin it cant be repaired
Also thanks for the heads up on the rock auto reco part reco is okay over here because you can take it back but from over there its just money down the drain if it does not work
I might juts order it anyway rockauto should be here by Friday
I can install it on the weekend if it still throws a service 4wd on the evic Ill know its not that

I had that message come up every now and then, and from memory it was a battery issue. Tightening a battery terminal or a new battery fixed it (can't remember which one as I got a new battery around the same time).

Okay after driving around in low 4 yesterday after the battery had been disconnected for half the day I had no problem then it came back

I took it to my mechanics he checked the plug and sprayed some contact cleaner on the plug for the transfer case actuator motor and checked it
service 4wd on the evic came back on the way home

I think Ill just buy the reco one from rockauto if it gets here before Monday Ill fit it hopefully that cures the problem if not I have the electrician coming Monday
Unbelievable trying to get the codes read down here on the gold coast the dealer is booked for 2 weeks the transmission guys are booked for a week and half the electrician was the only one that could do it by Monday next week

who said there was no work

Have you had your battery/alternator checked /load tested
Also have you had the fluid changed in the TC recently?
