He's also got me putting in some diesel additive every time I fill up, which is supposed to help if you do pick up some crappy fuel. It costs around $15 for about 10,000kms. Make sure you get oil + filter changed every 10,000kms as well, rather than leave it the whole 20,000kms as per the service book.

I do my oil and filter every 5,000kms, i do alot of 4x4ing and anyone driving under load (towing) or 4x4 I would recomend this too.

What s $70 buck for 7liters of oil and a $15 filter cheap insurance if you ask me!

Fit a Turbo timer if your doing longer trips, No matter what some people say "modern diesel dont need it Technology is better these days

If you shut down your JEEP with skinking hot oil with a stinking hot Turbo the bearings inside the Turbo are gonna soon play up and Re building a Turbo is much more the $300 for a timer!!! Even better insurane!!

That fishing trip up the beach or that 4hr trip towing a 3T trailer then you stop to grab a Pie and a choc milk!!!!!!! Bugger! Turbos Dead!!!!

LOL, well, I'm not exactly trying to hide what I do.

Why don't you pop down to your local dealer and ask if you can start up a couple of the new ones on the lot?
