Watched that vid...geeeeeezus !.....and he works on em all the time with a full workshop, correct tooling and 'midget' hands...I'm out when it comes to that gig....did send me to google to find out where they are...vid makers...not the engine mounts...Grippys idea of replacing the fluid with a silicone substitute is valid...if I can work out a way to get the 'nozzle' into the rubber cup....Grippy ???

I'm scared to look...I have heard replacing these mounts is a very big job...like you guys I am of the same era...not that interested anymore with spending hours on my back under a car bruising and smashing my knuckles...lol

I hear you...lol...plenty of tools and gizmo's I'd dearly love to own, but can't justify the cost. I have a good mate though with a big shed that owns pretty well every tool imaginable, so if I ever need to do anything nutty like replace engine mounts I know where to go...

Lot of us in that era fella's. What I used to get down and tackle in a weekend, now at knocking on 70 end up paying young buck at All GC to do instead (treasure that he is!). Thanks to buggered back and arthritic fingers, oil changes are just about my limit for getting underneath. Reminds me, must get one of those sump tap thingies...

Yep, tools have always haunted me, no matter how many you've acquired over the years, the one you need is always the one you don't have...

I have always taken my Jeeps down to the local JAK's store for tyre rotations...literally a 5 minute drive from my place where I can relax in the air conditioning while a young bloke gets paid to do the job.

The only shortfall is they rattle the flippin' wheel nuts up so tight I need to use a breaker bar extension to crack them loose!

I now read the riot act to tyre mob after they stuffed the thread up on 2 of mine, thankfully mail ordered 2 new ones, didn't know until I went to pull them off and the thread came away, bastards..... Thankfully this mob supplies them, cheaper than a tyre shop ordering them in, https://www.niceproducts.com.au/page...e-model-search

interesting thing is the other vehicles that match.
