Thanks for your feedback, a claim has been lodged with Chrysler, will find out in a few days the result.
If I get knocked back I have no hesitations in persuing the matter, theres no way a vehicle that is three years old and stored under cover night and day should have this happening. Having a girlfriend who is a lawyer will be handy if this isn't resolved in the apropriate manner.
I'm up for new car changeover now and how I'm treated will definitely determine my next purchase, was thinking 300C but not so sure now.
I love my Jeep but I cant justify spending $40K plus on a vehicle that is seemingly made with in built obselesence.
Shopping bags should be biodegradeable, not cars.

It's refered to as a warranty policy claim. Because Chrysler know the problem exists with that model. If the car has been looked after like you say and low on k's they should take care of it.
Thing is it has been repaired before, probably by a contractor to Chrysler. Thats what makes it a shit fight.

If your dealer comes back and says no I'd touch base directly with Chrysler Australia through their customer care number. Explain politely that it was repaired under warranty and that it has happened again and see where it goes from there.

I will be going down the polite phonecall path before angry letter path.
I've bought two brand new cars from Chrysler in the last 3years, fingers croassed I can consider a third.

The other thing is, they will of a got someone to paint the hinges regardless of the warranty you do or don't have on your car the painter should be willing to fix them if it's only been a couple of months.

I'd be chasing the painter up if the dealer is being difficult, as a last resort I'd talk to chrysler.
