Mine used to run at about 92 or 93 and raise up to 110 in traffic ocassionally prior to my head rebuild.

Whilst I had it apart I installed a new water pump, hoses, serpentine belt and from memory a 205 F (96 C) thermostat. Now it doesn't move from about 96-97 whether it's freezing cold or stuck in traffic with the A/C on in 45 C heat.

Please make it as simple as possible the gear I need, my WJ often hits the 105-110 mark in traffic, worried about it on the sand.
Does the viscous fan start up when its getting hot? You will certainly hear it if it does. Pop the bonnet and you will see the main fan spinning but with no force. Once it get's hot (it has these little external temp sensors), the viscous coupling engages and it's like a gale under the bonnet. If not, then get a new clutch pack for it.

P.S. - mines for sale too, but that's pretty obvious!

Cool thanks for that, was a question I'd been meaning to ask before my little meltdown
