Hmmmm. I may consider your frame...hmmm.

I'll play with this one a bit first.

I also have a 7x4 shit box trailer for the tip. It's always full of rubbish.
I also have a lightweight 3 bike dirt bike trailer. Very minimal design.

I don't need the bike trailer anymore, and probably don't need to use this budget project tradie trailer anymore either, cos' Vito van.

You pm me pics of frame? ☺With cash price

Default I hereby name this as 'Project Camphack'.

This is probably the lamest trailer project in the history of Ausjeepoffroad, if not the history of the internet.

So some may like it, get an idea for themselves, or an indication of what NOT to do

It was our ever faithful base carpentry trailer for nearly 20yrs. It's mega contraptioned out. Got lots of surprises built in. Function was paramount, looks came secondary. As you can see.

The whole original design aim of this trailer was to keep it compact as possible, while having a dedicated place for all my gear. I hate what most do, get a huge wanky 'look at me look at me' trailer that says 'I has a small dick' with all tools thrown in on top of each other. That's crap.

The smaller the trailer the much more manageable it is on cramped building sites, and so on, so on. As a result, this one has many sections. Could be fun to camp with, so here we are.

Two basic pics, from below at the moment. Haha. I'll take more when it's down.

First task. Spring over axle mod. Any thing stands out as bad, pipe up please.
As it was.

Right hand slipper spring bracket was toast. Cut it off. Fabbing up a new guide, like I already have for the other side years ago.

The bushes were flogged out, of course.

Bought new U-bolts and bushes today. $24 down so far.

Slipper springs are crap. Yeah, I know. But this has to be done in one week, under $100.

If anyone has any cheap tips, that would be handy to know, pipe up. I might do it.

I start welding tomorrow morning though. Ofcourse, I can always change stuff.

Came across a guy on the Wenlock river with a brand new trailer that had slipper springs. They had already worn right through the bottom of the frame just on the corrugations getting to that point!
I would go to a wreckers and grab some rear leaf springs from a E series wagon or one of the utes. Remember something about them having bolt on mounts perhaps? Been a long time since I have looked at them. Should be very cheap to pickup.

Get ready though. It's a very underwhelming trailer Just a hack to bash on tracks and carry shit that don't fit in the GC.

It's a mega tight wad modify session.

$100 maximum special.

1 week deadline, ready for next weekend.

Did anyone guess I'm never out to impress anyone with what I wheel or look like yet

Stay tuned. Haha

ill do later as I as well need to take it to the tip to get rid of the bits I have left over from stripping jeeps .
it was used to carry mowers for a lawn mower man LOL , it is a real heavy construction , but it would need a clean up , the front part is a gate , like the rear . ill take pics later , has a long a frame and sits up pretty high . ill take the photos later next week after I do a rubbish tip run .
cash ? I cant be bothered doing anything with cash , don't need a bike trailer , how bad is the rust in the other ?

That fella at Wenlock got ripped

I was planning on welding in some sacrificial 5mm plate above the slipper section. Weld it in in such a way I could change it over occasionally.

I still don't like the slipper idea. It will play in the back of my mind.

E series Falcon I'm guessing GoJeep?

This morning is the only time until we leave next Friday night that I can get to a wreckers.

I'll go have a look. See what ute I can find that is lightly sprung.

Thanks for commenting.

The tip trailer is a bit rusty, bearings? Tyres not flash, multi colored paint.

It was meant to be left at the tip, with the rubbish on it, for the last four trips or so

Tip trailer/skip bin is another project. This one is just on the cusp of being too bad to reco.

I bought it when I was living in brassy , on ..................E BAY , there I had to strip it , and ask a guy to stamp/weld a number on it , (oh boy never again , ill do it next time) ill take photo after I come back from Maryborough , and place it on here
