I saw a black TJ in St Kilda yesterday that was running on LPG - they'd replaced the stock tank and put the cylinder in its place, so I'm assuming it was running LPG only.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I have enquired about long range fuel tanks but I thought the quote of $990 for an extra 20 litres was stupid. After that I made a Jerry can holder for 1 can to attach to my tow bar. I'm now planning to do a trip along the Holland track and need a bit more range so I will probably make a dual can rack.

you can get a second tank that holds 45l for $1000 or so otherwise a custom job that holds an extra 25 or so for $1000 too that gives you a better departure angle.
remeber carring jerries on the back of the car is illegal - big no no
if someone runs up your arse i would run

Iv'e been running LPG on the 4lt Mopar for 3 years with no issues. As long as you run a valve saver and run the thing on petrol every now and then it's not a problem.

Up to 164 k right now and the only thing I'm doing with my motor is (still) replacing the welsh plugs.
LPG is actually kinder on motors with cooler input fuel, less injector wear, lower carbon build up and lower price.
Downside is the lower power....about 10%

As my sig says - my Jeep has Gas. All three of them..Grand, Full Size and the CJ10.
