Thanks for the reply Wooders, It was just a thought mainly for longrange fuel. I was thinking a gas tank and the original would double my range. I will probably stick with jerrycans.

It will increase your range as you can carry more "fuel" but for less cost why not consider a long range tank or axilurary tank?

I agree with Wooders consider a long range tank Fuel Injected engines don't like LPG or should I say the injectors don't when they are in use they are virtually self cleaning but when running on gas carbon builds up on the nozzel so when next you run on petrol the engine runs rough and sometimes won't idle, stalls when appling the power to move off from the lights etc. how do I know you ask have had 3 cars on gas 2 had carbys were ok the Commodore cost me a fortune with injector cleans before i decided to run on LPG only also driven a few taxis Another thought you can't carry spare gas (legally in Qld that is) where as you can petrol and get from almost anywhere in an emergency

There's also this . . .

heading: Backflip hits LPG tank firm.

an LPG tank manufacturer has gone into administration, citing a Fed Govt backflip on placing an excise on the gas.

. . . . . as outlined in May's budget papers.

Customers, especially fleet buyers are obviously loath to purchase gas only vehicles with such uncertainity about running costs.

there is every chance that people will pay 50 to 100 per cent more for their autogas . . . . more expensive then petrol.
