LR fuel tank doesnt normally have the fuel pump installed, so you'd have to move it from the stock tank.

but that wouldnt be impossible to do, just a relocation job.
I guess the filler hose relocation would be the pain part.

I know one bloke in Melbourne, 'Tonka' and he is on gas - he rates it very highly. He is a customer of USA4x4 - if TW is reading this he may be able to offer some more info.

anyone got a good link on these LR fuel tanks ?
I was thinking maybe an option might be to install a small petrol tank and replace the stock fuel tank with gas.
Maybe Wooders suggestion, just go straight gas and not worry about a fuel tank.
Couldnt stray to far away from civilization tho.
I phoned a few gas converters today but couldnt find anyone who was confident in a late model jeep conversion.

Just make sure you get at least 96lt tank if you choose to run only LPG. I can squeeze about 600k's to that on the open road. Another option is to run 2 small tanks that are connected. Be aware 1 litre LPG is close to 1 kilo in weight. Here they make a fuel tank that is square and deeper then strap a 56lt gas bottle to the front of thatand under the car as well. But 56lt you will soon be filling up. Go as big as you can do. I'm still considering running a second tank inside to give me 192lts total!

The MJOC 03 / 04 gas conversion has a tank in the boot, they moved the rear seats forward 2 inches to get the tank in so he at least kept his rear seats in place.

Not sure I would give up the rear seats for a gas conversion and technically you would have to re-register the car as it's not legal to drive the TJ with the rear seats removed permenantly if it is registered as a wagon (There are a couple of threads on that topic somewhere)

I'll give the member a yell and see if i can get some pics of his setup for posting on here.
