it would take too many gates/fences etc to lock off somewhere like GHM.

if they did, and only issued keys to clubs who applied for a permit and were held responsible for any rubbish left behind it would stay a much more pristine 4wd environment.

the reason most of the problems are landcruiser/patrol owners is most 4wds in this country are landcrusiers or patrols.

i bet there are as many of them disgusted about the trash as we are, it is usually only a small number of inconsiderate a**holes that finish up destroying it for all.

i have been on an organised jeep run where i picked up a discarded stubby, next time we stopped i showed the jeep driver who left it there and said i did not think it was fair he left it for me to pickup, he apologized and took the rubbish from me, however, i bet the next time he is out without someone to clean up after him he will do the same some just don't care

It doesn't matter what people drive you still get the idiots that leave there rubbish behind or treat it like a tip, it's not hard to take your rubbish home.

Rule 1 is if you take it in you take it home. That's what I've been bought up around.

Only reason I mentioned Patrol in an earlier post is because the bloke that stole some of my gear was driving a white Patrol. There was a variety of 4wds around. The Patrol bloke has 2 different colour eyes. You never know I may run into him again while wheelin. Unfortunately because of a couple of bad experiences I will not lend anything to strangers again.

Most of those Forest Parks have restrictions on clubs that they dont on individuals - such as maximum numbers etc etc.

Basically it will end up like the U.S. where even the 4WD Parks are being closed down....

Rubicon, MOAB and Johnson Valley are all under threat from closure as well....

Combustion engines are evil and 4WD's are the anti Christ
