THE v8'S SERVICE INTERVAL IS 12,000KM
THE CRD IS NEEDS MORE TENDER LOVING CARE THEN THE V8 RELATIVELY SPEAKING
Actually Bill if you want to get Narky about it, the current CRD service interval is 20k whereas the V8 is still 12k... Who needs more tender loving care.... Besides why, if they needed more servicing etc would trucks that regularly run up to 100k/year run diesels, wouldn't make much sense now would it.....

I'm pretty sure that you'll all need service schedule "B" for the stop/start nature of our daily commute, not to mention towing, or dirt road travel -and that brings it back to the 10k or so (according to the jeep manual).

Looks like we are going to get the CRD I have made an offer back to Jeep and they said sounds OK. Will know tomorrow. I'm taking the demo out for the day. The cost of the Laredo is $56306 Aust includes GST

It has Up country and Quadradrive.

Can you fit 31" MTR's.
Is there a snorkel yet.
Is front tow hooks easy to fit.

Even with the Up Country the 31s will rub...Suggest LT245/16...
No snorkels yet...
I've got an ECB bullbar with good recovery points, Chrispy and Billsta have ARB bars with good recovery points...But aftermarket front hooks are out there and pretty easy to fit...
Not a bad price for the unit especially with Up Country and Quadradrive...If I had mine to do over I would get Quadradrive instead of Quadratrac 2...

It's done. Pick the Laredo up next week. I've spent most of the evening taking all the extra's of the Wranger so I can sell it all.
The wrangler was fun but now I have it well and truly out of the system. I won't miss the clatter of the soft top.
I have our first 4x4 trip in a couple of weeks and then each weekend after that until the end of November.
The Quadradrive works great going down hill with cruise on it won't let the Jeep build up too much speed.
I now have to find some rims and new tyres.
My wife was the leading force in me buyiing the Laredo, but we were not sure after owning a XJ diesel and all the problem we had with the engine.
Could you guys post some photo's of your upgrades.
