Hi JKohn,

I am a Tassie Jeeper (WG - moderate mods) up in Shepparton at the moment with the family (1*wife, 2*kids). We are heading towards the VIC high country on or abouts the 5th Jan...

Heading towards Mt Buller and Craigs Hut (suppossed to be spectacular). I think you guys are on the other side... but if you find me I will have a 60ltr Waiko fridge loaded

The guy in the 4x4 shop here in Shep said that Pinapple Flat (your side of Mt Buller) is a nice place to camp so we may head there...

Cheers,
Chumby.

You guys will have a great time exploring the Vic Alps.Another good track, which has claimed a few vehicles ( including one of ours ), is Collingwood Spur. You can find this track on your way to Talbotville through the Crooked River valley and it will take you to Dargo High Plains road not far from Grant.
Did this road yesterday - fantastic spot - but have to say we ignored the Collingwood Spur Track as we had trailers behind and families on board.
We're in Porepunkah now - shame to be back in 'civilisation'.

hah! I was just going to write the same as Tonto.

There was a Nissan Club there nearly every day, hogging the front car parks.

We parked down the side. (locals)
