The added weight gives them more stability espcialy at Hwy speeds. I found with my WG the more i Added ie lift, roofracks ect the better it drove and the more i enjoyed sitting behind the wheel.. They loss there Wobblyness and track a lot better even around corners ect..

Maybe the a/mkt springs are stiffer to cope with extra weight so with out it they are a bit stiff?
Barfoot, Im afraid I didnt take any photos during construction or with bar off but I can take photo off original flimsy x-brace which was replaced.

This is the x-brace that came with bar.
It goes between steel mounts on bar.
I replaced it with 50x50x6mm box with 90x90x8mm angle on ends & welded reciever on bottom centre.

So asp, do you actually have my Eylet thing on the LHS under your bullbar, or do you have the Mopar hooks? Do you have a nudge bar or bullbar? I was under the impression the genuine Mopar 'hooks' don't fit with the bullbar. They don't hang low enough, as the bullbar is for Australia only. What dealer in Sydney did you get it from? My local Jeep dealer told me to trackdown Bocar! It definatley would be nice to equalise any front recoveries.

Thanks guys!
I have a jeep alloy bar with both sides. Took me ages to track it down and ordered it from Jeep in Chatswood NSW about 3 years ago, see attached image

Thanks ASP & Turbomart. It's good to have some direction & options now. The Jeep dealers I talked to only knew about the hooks. I will give SVM Chatswood a call & see what they want for one now.

Cheers!
