From checking my book & researching, I believe the M16/M32 fuse is for the airbag... At least it is listed as being for the ORM, (Occupant Restraint Module).

(Reminds me of the story a friend told me about trying to find out what the wiring marked "To AMD" was in a mainframe computer in the '80s went to. They finally gave up trying to trace it & ordered one from the vendor. Got a small box with a 6" fan in it, marked "Air Movement Device". )

Recall - Clockspring 2013

RECALL Subject :
Air Bag Clockspring Assemblies may Fail ,

1 INVESTIGATION(S)
Report Receipt Date: MAY 07, 2013

NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V176000
Component(s): AIR BAGS
Potential Number of Units Affected: 5,440

All Products Associated with this Recall

Details
Manufacturer: Chrysler Group LLC

SUMMARY:
Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 Jeep Wrangler right-hand drive vehicles manufactured February 1, 2007, through October 10, 2011. The affected vehicles have airbag clockspring assemblies that could experience broken airbag circuits.

CONSEQUENCE:
In the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment, a broken electrical circuit in the airbag clockspring wiring assembly can lead to non-deployment of the driver-side frontal airbag and will not be able to properly protect the driver, increasing the risk of injuries.

REMEDY:
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the clockspring and add a steering wheel dust shield, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753.

This recall supercedes NHTSA recall 11V-528. Chrysler's recall campaign number is M31.

NOTES:
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Does this affect us, or are we classed as exported RHD vehicles?

From what I know Yanks don't drive on the right part of the road so logically I assume that the a.m. recall applies to you guys! Hope this would help!

I just thought our models would have been classed as RHD export models, which are exempt from the recall.

The problem was only noticed in US version RHD models, not export models so I would presume since it is only affecting an estimated 5440 RHD vehicles that will not be export models.

In otherwords, no, not us!
