As the Audi and the Q7 also the Porsche Cayenne are all made on the same VW platform, I doubt there will be much difference between them. It is a bit like the Audi A3 and the Golf same running gear and floor pan different tin work and price.

Had a cherokee limited before the Commander reckon the commander better car. I wasnt really happy with the spring either so just pulled em out and put new ones in easy! If you going to spend the sort of money a commander costs a aftermarket suspension kit fitted for a bit over a grand isnt really all that big of an expense if it sorts the worries and brings back the love

Have no idea if it is correct but this is what the RTA thinks it is:

Rear 495

How about anyone who's interested in clearance and spring sag measuring their front and rear clearance on their Commanders then place the measurements on this thread so we can compare. You need to be on a very flat level surface such as your garage floor to get a correct reading. Measure the centre of your wheel hub to the out side bottom edge of your gaurd.
Please add any comments and details of any lift, the brand plus the age of your springs etc.

I have a 2" OME lift at the front and 2.5" OME at the rear with Bilstien shocks/struts. This was fitted about 21 months ago. My front lower control arm has very worn bushes that the struts mount to so I lose about 8mm of height here.

Front = 512
Rear = 542

I look forward to your measurements!
