Bugger.
I'm just talking about driving down towards Penrith from the Mountains without having to ride the brakes all the way. It seems to have less engine braking than my wife's automatic PT Cruiser!
Going down Old Bathurst Rd, I only needed the brakes just before the hairpins to wash off the last bit of speed, with the engine keeping the speed reasonable the rest of the time. The JK seems to want to drive itself through the armco instead of staying on the road. (It's a Jeep thing, I guess!
)
On the highway coming down from Brisbane, I had to keep changing down to 5, 4 or even 3 on some of the hills, to keep up ~100kph, although admittedly I had it filled with E10 at the time. I won't worry about higher grades of fuel until I get one, unless someone can tell me the JK can take advantage of better fuel without?
