HI Guys, I plugged my SC im my computer and it did a huge upgrade...I haven't done anything on da jeep yet, but mine as well, was pinging on all settings..no matter what. I am currently running it on 87octane (with 91 shell fuel) and it seems to be a bit better. Has anyone checked the sorts of crap they add to the petrol? At some servos it is as cloudy as orange juice..no wonder...

I've still had no contact through the superchips forum and my issue tracking (which has all my details)

It seems this pinging issue has not been resolved since March!! I suspect there are many people running tunes that have ping that do not know what ping sounds like or just don't hear it.

I had high hopes for the flashpaq after reading up on them, it's just a shame it doesn't work for everyone. I'm left very disappointed with my purchase of superchips and will be selling mine.

I'm interested in one of these, but only really if it can stop the runaway acceleration on downhill grades. I LIKE engine braking & this JK seems to have none.

It also seems completely gutless below 2k RPM compared to my TJ. Can the Flashpaq fix that?

Bugger. I'm just talking about driving down towards Penrith from the Mountains without having to ride the brakes all the way. It seems to have less engine braking than my wife's automatic PT Cruiser!

Going down Old Bathurst Rd, I only needed the brakes just before the hairpins to wash off the last bit of speed, with the engine keeping the speed reasonable the rest of the time. The JK seems to want to drive itself through the armco instead of staying on the road. (It's a Jeep thing, I guess! )

On the highway coming down from Brisbane, I had to keep changing down to 5, 4 or even 3 on some of the hills, to keep up ~100kph, although admittedly I had it filled with E10 at the time. I won't worry about higher grades of fuel until I get one, unless someone can tell me the JK can take advantage of better fuel without?
