NO don't do it.
There's been so many Commander and Grand owners caught out by having their cars having the recall done and now finding they can't engage 4WD as well as error messages constantly. And Jeep Australia still have no clear fix or time when these stuffed up recall cars will be fixed.
From what I've read the only car that have had the "shift to neutral" problem ware the ones with the Remote Start option. Remote Start is not fitted to any Australian car as it's illegal here.

Don't do it!

Hi Multihull...I didn't and never had that problem but it is a safety recall and if you get your Commander serviced at Jeep then it will be done..Not sure if you can say NO!!.

Good to see you're back on board after being laid up for a while there.
As you know I've sold my Commander worse luck a regretting the day I did.
Glad to see you haven't had this N23 related 4x4 problem..I've been in contact with a bloke in SA who is having all sorts of issue since having it done so if ok with you pls PM me and I'll give you his email address..You may be able to point him in the right directionn or help some way...He's not a happy chappy especially with Jeep Aus HQ
