Default Commander Sat Nav map updates

Howdy folks,

My brother-in-law has purchased a Jeep Commander 65th Anniversary edition.

There is a sat nav unit fitted to this vehicle. The question is - how can the maps on this unit be updated? I googled it, but there seems to be no information on this subject.

All the answers should be on this thread. You can easily down load free maps to a new "Flash" type memory card.

Thanks for the reply, but you mention about a thread - can you provide me with a link to the thread that you are referring to?

Thanks again.

I have updated that thread with some simple steps on how to upgrade the memory card, now that I've worked it out.

Thanks for the pointer - it's taken me this long to get off my butt to do something about the outdated maps on my BIL's Commander - it was so old it did not have Melbourne's Citylink Road on it, nor my BIL's own house!

Made it more difficult to navigate home! LOL!
