Small update, got it sent to a new mechanic, they have found the pcm could be the issue, where is the best place to find one? Or does anyone in south East Vic have a second one?
You are in a world of hurt here. If you change the PCM, you also will need to change the SKIM module. The alternative is to rescue the SKIM interface chip from the old PCM and solder it into the replacement one.
Did you read out the fault storage in the meantime?
If only one or two pins of the flexplate are bent just a wee, you also have the same symptoms.
You can check the teeth with a flashlight via the the plastic service cover at the bottom of the transmission with ease.
