Fitted mine today along with a new water pump & belt, one of the pulleys had totally disintegrated (EP251's) & the other wasn't far off. The tensioner pulley (EP257) was not to bad but was on its way also.
Luckily the Alternator O/R pulley was still in good condition so I could still use it

Cracks across the belt are normal but if it hasn't been changed in a long time & you are going to remove it anyway to work on the engine then do it.

No I didn't change mine, are you sure the harmonic balancer is wobbling? A dirty HB can look like its wobbling, degrease it & give it a clean & then check it again.

Part number for the HB is 68056244AA

I used a Tru-Flow brand as I could get it in Australia & it has a 2Y warranty.
P/N TF8431 The box says made in USA but it had made in Germany on the pump.

The one I ordered http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Water-Pum...item3cf607b656

This site has a list of aftermarket pumps.

Default Serpentine belt replacement instructions

Here a thread I did 4 years ago with step by step instructions on how to change your serpentine belt on a 3 litre Merc turbo diesel on a Commander. Pictures included.

Another excellent example and reason why we should integrate the WH & XH on the same Forum page

Default My favorite supplier of Merc engine parts

Europarts-SD are located in San Diego USA. They often give you a choice of genuine Merc parts or high quality aftermarket OEM spec.
They usual ship the same day and my last order I had parts in under 7 days at my PO Box in Brisbane from the time I placed the order on line. Absolutely amazing service
