Default Revs at 100kmph crd

Can someone tell me what revs their engine is doing at 100 kmph and what tyre size?

I am guessing all diesels came with the same diff gears as they all had quadra trac 2 in Australia?

Been looking at some reviews, thinking about maybe getting one in the future, and one of the few criticisms is that they rev too much on the highway.

If you are buying a petrol revs might be a problem diesel's are made to rev if you load them up with low revs and expect them to work it puts excessive load on the crankshaft diesels are more economical when revving they seem to have a sweet spot and if the gearing is to tall you cant legally cruise in the sweet spot

Can't say about petrol engine I only buy diesels nowadays

About 2050rpm @ 100kph, 2200rpm at 110 on 265/70/17 with CRD factory Axle Ratio of 3.55:1 (V8 has 3.73:1) my speedo is within 1km compared to GPS.

Actually, CRDs came standard with QDII until the 2008MY update. QDII had a different rear diff to Quardtrac. However they did all have the same transmission, which was different to the transmission in the petrol.

My Commander with QDII sat on about 1900RPM at 100km/h.

Now are you quoting 100kph ground speed (GPS) or what's on your speedo which is usually 5% over reading which is actually only 95 kph on the GPS.
My Commander sat on 2100 rpm at 100 kph on the GPS with 245/75/17 with Goodyear Wranglers

I should just add, the 265/70 Maxxis Big Horn's I had fitted are smaller in diameter then my current General Grabber SRL's.
