Default Pre 2012 Wrangler Transmission Temp Gauge setup -Torque

I'm not sure if this has been posted before but I had trouble finding a way to get Torque Pro App to have a Transmission Fluid temp gauge pre 2012 Petrol Wranglers.
I manage to set up the App today and went for a hard 4x4 in the Glass House Mountains. It was scary how much the Tran fluid went up on the Hwy with 34" x 12" tread on and then when I was off road and taking it slow and hung up on shit scary angles the temp was over the top.
On the Hwy the temp ranged from 160c to approx. 180c however the top temp I saw was 207c but it may have gone higher as the app was turned off for a while.

If you want the App just go to the Custom PID set up under Settings and fill in the fields as per my screen shot.

Here's a screen shot of the custom PID setup.

Are you sure that is correct temperature reading? Seems very high.

Yeah I would say the calculation is a little outta wack to he honest. On the new Trailhawk at 125°C transmission temp it shuts off 4wd so I would be very very surprised to see over 200°C

Sent from a tiny mobile device with fat thumbs...

Actually, the reading might in F, not Celcius. 212F = 100C. Then the reading makes more sense.

I've had the OBD II error code P0713 flash up before stating my Trans temp was too high before so the reason I installed this app was to see what it gets to. Next week my tranny cooler arrives and I'm going to fit that then see how we go.

What is the normal temp and what is the threshold that the OBD code goes off at?

I don't know what the normal range is for pre 2012 JKs. But 2012 JK runs around 70/80C in town. Gets cooler on motorway, hotter off-road. It has a factory trans cooler though.

My TJ used to be around the same range as well. I had an aftermarket temo gauge on that.
