Settle down mate !!
the design is not entirely for the CJ6 model ,I think it can be modified with not too much trouble to fit all CJs and possibly TJs as well .
so enough about it for now ,

Bore and hone the block 200
deck the block 100
clean the block 80
face the heads, do the guides, cut the seats, face the valves, bead blast and reassemble the heads with new seals 600
grind the crank 80
Close to those figures here in Bris. A machine shop may to a complete package deal and supply all the bits as well with a discount.

Well i ended up taking my 302w in today to drop off and i thought i would get them to check the bores before i bothered to get it off the work ute.
And i am now looking for another block... The bores were already at 40 thou over and i dont realy want to go to 60 thou because apparently the cylinder wall thickness starts getting thin. I dont want any potential weak spots in this engine so i would prefer to look around for a better block. I dont realy want to pay to have it sleaved.

My prices are around,
175 bore and hone
120 surface grind block
175 grind crankshaft (only if it needs it)
220 chemical clean and prep block
385 for full engine balance
350 assemble short block
695 for them to get a complete engine rebuild kit. ACL (pistons, rings, cam bearings gaskets etc).

I have had my heads already fully reconditioned and had them built to run unleaded. Also running double valve springs from my COMP cams kit i bought last year.
670 for a head job from teterin engineering.

I will be running COMP cam (idle to 5500 rpm) and a edelbrock performer manifold and a 670cfm truck avenger.
Should be a good strong engine once i finnaly finninsh the bloody thing...

Jeeze it cost me 500 bucks just for pistons and the rings were on top of that.
The AMC V8 defitnitely are not a cheap engine to overhaul.
