Bugger on the leak, NFI on the part number.

Check new pump prices too, MB sell this part number as do others and a new pump may not be much more expensive than a rebuilt pump.

Not bad, your injectors might've escaped.

Bummer about the pump, I was lucky and got a rebuilt one for about $100 plus my pump as a core. Shipping times suck, otherwise I would've helped you get one from here.

Bosch part number for shaft seal is F 00R 0P0 253. I'll add this to the everything CRD thread.

Hmm, I don't think new seals will fix this...

Interestingly, it took me 2 hours to remove the pump on Saturday. It took a little over 30 minutes this morning. Amazing how much difference task familiarity makes.

Rebuilt pump is on order. Jeep is parked up for the week.

New (recon) pump is in. It might be placebo effect, but I think it is running much smoother. I wouldn't say it's gained any power, just smoother.

The correction test also looks much better. I'm thinking that it was more about a dying HP pump and less about any fuel additive. If one pump cylinder was dead, since it is camshaft driven it would have always corresponded with the same injector firing.
