yes fibreglass hood - 1xhinge is broke...trying to work out how to replace...

pulled alternator but couldn't fix it economically.

Jobs - alternator + brake booster rubber + air cleaner + new valve covers

Is there a good link to brake booster rubber replacement steps?

Does this look like a stock 1979 Jeep CJ7 booster?
If so - I need to replace the diaphragm - any links on how to and where to get a replacement rubber?
Is this used on other cars - would be helpful....

Have you taken the old one off, you could always take it to a brake shop. It looks aftermarket to me

Looks the same as mine, from memory it’s a Bendix VH305, used in Toranas and Kingswoods I’ve been told.
A proper old school brake place should be able to do a full reco on it for you, if you’re really lucky maybe even a changeover.

Just came by to close out.....

Booster is an Ozzie PBR VH279 (6 F 7 N) Unit and the cylinder is a PBR 7210 unit.
It would seem they are ex LH/LX/UC Holden Toranas here in OZ

I found a local guy about 10 miles away who was selling one from his LJ torana for $100....
straight fit....excellent thanx Gildo and all.

Gave the ol girl a bit of touchup for her birthday....;>
