I run 30's on mine for touring duties and towed my camper to the top of the cape and back on stock gears, wasn't too bad.
I have now regeared it to 3.73:1 which with the 30's puts it back to stock Sport overall gearing and is great, when I run the stock 225/75/15's (most of the time) it is the same as a stock Limited and drives brilliantly as it is revving just that little bit more than it used to and seems to have made a positive difference....

I run 4.1s with 285/70R17s (33) on one XJ & standard 225/70R16s with standard gearing on the other. The standard one uses about 2l/100ks less than the big one.

The standard one is a 2000 with the later inlet & ignition.......
