It's a Jeep thing, or at the very least a Dana thing. Even most of the replacement covers don't have drains.

Been thinking about welding in a bung, actually thought about it when I had the ZG just haven't got there yet, give it another few years.

ford 9" you have to pull the centre out to drain the oil so the jeep diffs aren't to bad a lot of people put a bung in them for convenience.

I drilled and tapped the bottom of my diffs and fitted bsp drain plugs.
Btw, dont use lsd oil , your diffs wont work properly.
