Default MOPAR goes offroad in USA

Chrysler has announced that it is setting up its own ‘Off-road Division’.

Mopar Offroad Division

With the majority of Jeep Wrangler buyers adding some sort of aftermarket equipment to their pride and joy, the marketing people at Chrysler have realized they are missing out on a big slice of the action.

According to reports from the USA, American buyers will be able to tick the option box for a wide range of Mopar off-road gear – including (believe it or not) high lift long-arm suspension packages!

Don’t expect to see much in the way of serious suspension components at Jeep dealerships in Australia. Apart from the various state regulations – that make the alteration of vehicles a quagmire for the inexperienced – we don’t think many sales people would be too pleased if they had to sell the vehicle, and then guide the buyer through all the pros and cons involved in a major modification.

I agree but think that it is Jeep Australia that jacks up the prices here or at the very least they turn a blind eye to their dealers that do.
