Also do you get both the Hot and Eco tune from Stu with the green eng one?

No - From memory Stu stopped offering the Hot tune for the WH and XH because the exhaust gas temps were considered too high when worked hard. He played around with different set ups to try to get it right, but wasn't happy with it.

You can get the Hot tune file direct from GDE in the States for something like $100-200 if you want, but you would have to make sure you get some advice on running it so you don't do any engine damage. I'm sure Stu could explain it for you if you contacted him.

Cheers Hanna,

No if it's not safe, then it is not for me.

In the time before Jeeping, I came from the land of performance cars. I have had multiple vehicles with aftermarket computers. We used to ALWAYS have these tuned on a dyno, with "off the shelf" tunes considered unsafe. I have mentioned earlier that I am new to diesels, but I struggle to understand how they can tune on one engine and assume it will be fine on all others of the same type?

Feel free to enlighten me, as I am keen to go the green eng tune.

Go the GDE from Stu. Had mine for about 5 years now towing a 3t van. Great economy and power/torque.
Cheers

Totally agree it's a great tune.

I believe he has another tune now:
http://www.murchisonproducts.com.au/...formance-flash

It's listed in the WH accessories site but I'm not sure if it's for all WH's or just the later ones. I noticed the GDE tune's price has gone up to over $1k

Flash it with GDE from Stu Murchison Products. It's cheaper, tailored to Jeep /Merc diesels with lots of extra features.
