Sorry got mixed up on the 4l60e. Either way its on the output shaft of the transmission right?

my XJ when on standard gearing and 31's grabbed top no worries at around 75km/h.

Yes, the output shaft of the trans, this is so it can know when to shift irrespective of high or low range, if something happens to this sensor (reed switch) it won't change gears....

Cheers guys for all the help atleast ive now got a few other options to look at instead of flying right into a re gear.
