So how's this for service. In desperation to get serviceable trailer lights happening, I call an unnamed Jeep dealership, somewhere near, say Albion for example. I tell them my sorry tale of woe and disappointment, and I get told "Yep , we can help, $500 and a brand new genuine part can be fitted, next week" so I proceed to re-explain the issue, that I only need the wiring loom. To which I get the , by now expected " yeah, we only sell it all together"
Hmmm what to do?
Being a thinker, I thinks to myself, "self, you should give Tom at Cricks a try, can't hurt"
I say " thanks Self , geez your a good bloke"
So I give Tom a call and the sob story, and as expected get the "sorry man, we can only sell them as a unit" , now let me interrupt this sorry saga of Non-Get, to bring especial focus to what happens next.....
Drum roll....
And then Tom "Damn Good Bloke" Phelan, of Crick's Automotive Group
says " hold on mate, I'll see what I can work out for you, lemme give you a call back"
And this will blow your mind, if like me you have had a long association with car salesmen, ----- he DOES call back.
Not only does he call back, but he has a solution, and it's not going to cost me an arm or a leg.
But wait,... There's MORE.....
not only do I not get told Bugger off, not only does he engineer a cunning plan for a working solution to my instance of unhappy, and keep in mind the aforementioned happened over the course of Tuesday, but he arranges for the workshop to fit me in FIRST thing Wednesday morning.
I ask you what more could you ask for? First my sparky (who incidentally had been promising the work for FOUR (count them, 4) weeks to get it done), after being told, cough up $500 and wait a week and maybe we can help (anyone care to guess how much I'll spend with them?) , to " not a problem, we'll take care of it"
Now that's service.
Thanks Tom
Martin.
