Default How many WJ/WG GC's are left?

It seems to me that this section has gone very quiet recently. I rarely see another WJ/WG on the road anymore. How many are left?

Can we do a quick roll-call with year, engine, version, mileage and location?

Mine is a 2004 2.7 CRD Vision Series with around 330,000km on it. It's still got plenty of life left in it. I am in SE Queensland.

hi

I have 3, but I am working on my WH must finish that. Just driving a patriot that I inherited. Must also do the blown engine in my FJ and do the missus Jaguar then my own Xjs. I am now retired but have enough work for 2 people. One day I may finish them all.

I have a 2005 WG, 315,000km, 2.7CRD Laredo, still going well also----but had a few intermittent moments just the other day with a dodgy shifter board, and the spare board I put in has been ok, but looks like I will have to bite the bullet and get a new one from jeepswj.com. Location is East Gippsland Au.

My daughters WG I 6 engine 360,000kms is now driven by my son it is driven every second day as a commuter vehicle. Other than servicing the engine has not had any major work, just plugs, crank sensor, filters and oil.
Original trans untouched we have added a varilock to the rear axle. All original suspension ball joints and bushes, only upper rear ball joint replaced. A couple of window regulators repaired and added a decent fold out screen head unit.

2004 Black Overland. 220,000 on the clock. It has it's creaks and groans, but I love it. Just changed the #2 injector seal, but that was most likely my fault from pushing the boost up a touch too far. It is a daily driver, doing mostly just running around jobs, but it is the car we take if we go anywhere. Also tows a 2.5T boat every now and then.

Jean Luke,

there are three types of Forum users:

a) the ones, who can not read good. I do assume they do have glasses,
minimum 1" thick.
Otherwise I can not explain myself why a question is asked a millions
times again.

b) the ones, who like to tinker and to show the results of.

c) the ones, who ask, get a negative answer to a question
(like "stupid", never been done before, impossible) and then do it anyway.

I do not ask anymore, nor do I post anything, which can be done with a little bit of "looking into the FSM". Which is called preparation before doing the work.
When I asked if it would be possible to change an engine, I had it already done. With safety inspection approval.
So I do have a big grin reading about "tuning" or adding "performance parts":

We had a lot of technical knowledge here - all gone. Now it's just another Jeep site with cruel mods. If I do have a serious question, I simply do not ask on this site nor do I post pictures.

And yes, we have Jeep Diag or an DRB III Scan tool from Miller too...

Oh yeah, the roll call: 2004 WG Overland, C30 3.0L CRD AMG engine, 150.000km, aux fuel tank.

I still have mine, fixed almost all issues. I installed new shocks, fixed some bushings (rear swaybar links), the rear wiper motor and a couple of other things. Drives better than ever before. If I could convince my wife to drive the Jeep rather the silly Holden Captiva, I would rather sell this car and keep the Jeep.

Still have some strange issue with the steering (although I installed a heavy duty steering damper) when I am running over a bump. Feels like something is loose although all the parts are firm (trackbar, tie rod endings etc.). I will look at the ball joints on the weekend although I wiggled them left and right ab up and down and they seem to be ok as well, so I am not sure what is the issue.

I will still drive it till it is sold. Almost had a buyer over last weekend but suddenly went quiet. And a couple of scammer who wanted me to to send them an message to an email for "quick sale"... yeah right.
