Default Sprintbooster?

Just come across this http://www.sprintboostersales.com/de...ler&engine=Gas
Seems to be recommended on the US JK forums for faster acceleration responce. Anyone had any experience with this or is it as I imagine a con?

Yes, it is also called 10 cent tuning- thats the value of the used parts.

Works only in electronic controlled accelerator pedals by tricking a lower resistor than the existing one- the same effect is gained by pressing the pedal.
A better acceleration can only be achieved by converting the CAN bus from a 50 mikro second interval down to 10 mikron. This unit doesn't interfere into the CAN-bus. It's expensive crap, the real gain is the thicker wallet of the distributor....

Waste of money!

It feels more responsive - but like people say, in theory you just put your foot down faster. I like it.

It certainly provided more difference than the Supachips FlashPaq I installed. Still trying to test it all out an see if economy is affected (up or down depending on settings). However, I did appreciate being able to calibrate my speedo with larger tyres.

Hi guys,

I have had one fitted to my JK CRD for about 3 months now and can honestly say they are a fantastic bit of gear!

It has not increased our fuel consumption over the the 6 or 7 tanks we've gone through and the difference in performance is fantastic!

Some of its advantages include: easier hill starts in a manual as you get the throttle response you expect instantly without having to put your foot right down resulting in a heap of revs all of a sudden when the throttle finally responds making you look like a learner driver , or simply the instant response when wanting to quickly change lanes etc! Jeep owners with an Auto will also notice a huge difference in the way the car picks up taking away the sluggish feel quite often found in an automatics.

We have just come back from Camp Coffs (fantastic event - well done Jeep Action) and the difference it made in the steep hilly terrain was great. What I found was it enabled me to crawl nice and slow but when the CRD bogged down due to it getting steeper or I needed instant boost and response I could get it instantly therefore not stalling or getting stuck.

Prior to fitting the Sprint Booster I tried driving the JK round with a heavy foot (fun ) for a full tank and instead of the 10.5 Ltrs per 100Km I currently get I only managed 13.3 Ltrs per 100. With the Sprint Booster fitted you get the same acceleration performance without mashing the peddle constantly, yet I still continuallly get the 10.5 Ltrs per 100Km!

I have provided one to Michael Bowen at Jeep Action who will be doing a review on them very shortly and Bill from Double Black Offroad also has one for testing.
