Default WK2 - Wheel alignment, steers to the left

Anyone have any issues on their WK2 GC with alignments? Mine steers to the left if I let go of the wheel since new, and the steering wheel is off center, ie I need to hold it a tad to the right to go straight. I've taken it to a wheel/tire shop to get the alignment sorted out and it is still the same. Been back twice already. I had the Jeep Dealer also check my wheel alignment and told me it is fine. - The Jeep dealer only just go their alignment system installed recently, so not sure if their experienced in this kind of thing.

Today, I took it into another tire shop and checked out my camber, casting, alignments and made further more adjustments, excluding caster(not adjustable) and put it all within spec. They said it still steers to the left and looks like a caster issue from factory and recommended getting a caster kit if Jeep wont do anything about it. It has had this issue since day one and the car is now at 18,000km... - I dont like the fact getting an aftermarket kit fitted, because I may have further problems down the line since more adjustments can be out of whack if I decide to go offroad?

It is only 6months old and I do a lot of millage.

Looks like I'm not the only one... http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...d.php?t=122346

Are you 100% sure you can let go of your steering wheel and the car will still remain straight for more than 50mtrs?

G'day imaz
Mine is the same. Have to constantly hold steering wheel to the right.
I've got mine in getting serviced right now, & asked them for a wheel alignment under warranty but they claim its not covered by warranty. However if you read the warrant supplement for cars in Australia that you got when you bought it, it states (in my reading it) that you get one wheel alignment up to, from memory, 100 000 km's.
Before you change anything, check the warranty supplement.

I've paid for like 2 wheel alignments outside the dealership since then, and yes it has been a problem since new. I just want the $60k car fixed - I can drive my other cars on a straight road in a straight line with no hands for a few km's - not with this jeep(within 50-100m I'd be hitting a tree).

Mine is pretty good and will go straight without a problem. Now at 13 months and 16000km.

I had this issue with my old Holden Jackaroo from new. The dealer did about 3 or 4 alignments at their location, and took it a specialist twice and they never could get it quite right. They managed to dial a lot of it out but it was always slightly there.

Tyre places were never able to fix it either.

Then when the Jack was about 8 years old, I read about this place called Pro-Axle at Enfield that does trucks, buses and 4WDs. They had it permanently fixed in about an hour. I wish I knew about them earlier.

My WJ has this problem and has had it for years now and a mate who has an 07 WH has it as well. Most jeep owners I know have this problem. There is a Jeep TSB on the WJ about using offset balljoints to correct the caster and camber angles to fix this. I considered doing it when I changed out the old balljoints but could never get any alignment shop to tell me to what degree the correction would be required hence which balljoint I needed nor anyone on the forums who had done it to their car who could steer me (so to speak) in the right direction.
