Hi Dave,

What would be the best way to get a permit for Noosa Northshore through to Rainbow Beach? Or do you need individual ones for each area?

Cheers,

Glenn

Same permit for both, jump onto the parks website. You need to register but it cheaper that way compared to getting one at the rangers station. The Cooloola one is then one you want. If you cant get online as their website is often crappy, the rangers station is about 500m before the ferry across to the north shore at Tewantin.

You can det daily for $11.50, weekly for $27 or monthly or annually.

Wow. Progress I guess. We used pile in out fourbies and on our bikes and get up the beach often. Most expensive parts was the barge at $5. Camp in the gully behind the first dune row or in Freshwater for nix. No showers or camping "bays" or bookings. Just roll up and pitch a tent. 3 blows to choose from and always some numpty with hard tyres holding everyone up. Kings Bore Track, man, good times. Spear fishing giant flathead at DI

Lol. Yep I remember that too. I even set up a last freebie trip to Rainbow and had a few on that one. Kings bore entry back to the beach was always fun though has new been closed for best past of a year. We pay our fees and the most new facilities Ibhave seen is all the new rangers in new vehicles checking permits twice a day!!
