Default Oil seeping from 2014 jkur

What's everyone's thoughts on this? It's not dripping yet. Worth booking in for warranty work or shall I wait for it go get worse before I take it to jeep?

Cheers

It's coming from those rubber plugs. Rear main seal I think

Looks like engine oil mate, so rear main seal. Big (expensive) job. I'd definitely put it back on the dealership! It will only get worse.

You can argue that its not legal.

Check on top of the engine near the extension the oil filter is on. And google 2014 cracked oil cooler housings.

I had it. The oil cooler cracks and weeps oil onto the valley cover, which pools and runs down the back of the block and over the gearbox. You can see it looking onto the valley cover from above, and with mine you could smell it as well

Definitely take it in for warranty. If yours is the same as mine it is a known fault, even if they pretend otherwise

Had (still have &#128528 the same problem. Was told rear main seal was weeping but once they got the gearbox off it turned out to the front main seal in the auto box (2012 jk). Now have to argue with them as it's out of warranty that they either never fixed the problem or it didn't work.

Take it in and make sure it is recorded. That way if it suddenly gets worse after warranty it will be an existing issue.

I agree I've had an issues with Jeep Dealerships & Jeep Australia before with the N23 recall debacle and I recorded phone calls and kept a diary of all calls, workshop visits, conversations and with who as well as asking for all their reports and error code print outs and I had the issue resolved but it did take time. I never told them I was recording all data but they knew and they did their job. I was covered if I ever wanted to take them to court or threaten to do so.
