I went with the 1" so I'll see how they go first. Total cost was $299 delivered. From memory it's $32 flat postage fee Australia wide.

Multihull,

I really like the look of the bushwhacker flares but I didn't want to spend that much. Unfortunately for me, the missus wants a new kitchen so spending is going to have to be reigned in for a while.

Fitted the front Uneek guard spacers today. The rears will have to wait until next weekend. They went on easily however the instructions on what to do with the inner guards are very vague. It says to drill out the rivets that hold the inner liner onto the guards. I kept them and glued them back into place when I was finished to fill in the holes.

The inner liner has to be cut down but there is no help except to say cut around the engine bay. I ended up bolting them to the original places using large mudflap washes and cutting as little as possible.

Also because the upper stiffeners aren't used you need silicon adhesive to glue the indicators back in place. Without the stiffener the guards do flap a bit and hit on the ARB bar at the very ends. I haven't gone for a drive yet so it will be interesting to see if they will flap about.

All in all I'm happy with them. They are a cheaper alternative to buying completely new guards.

Finally finished installing the rear spacers today. These went on easily, you just need an 11mm drill bit to enlarge the holes for the clips. After that a nutsert tool is required for the bolts to secure the guards. I picked up a nutsert kit from eBay for $70 that came with several sized adapters (M8 is required).

So there isn't some way of re installing the stiffeners somehow, possibly by way of modification or something?

It's funny you mention this as I was thinking about it last night. I'm going to have a look this weekend to see if I can cut it down and bolt it back in.
